A Quick and Dirty Guide to the Site

Welcome to the home of Frederick Wentworth, Captain. I’ve made this guide to help you find the fiction you seek.

All the pages have a menu in the header that will lead you to the various pages for the novels actively posting or where to buy the novels when they ‘go live.’

But here is a set of links that will get you where you want to go:

Frederick Wentworth, Captain > This page is a synopsis of the series and links you to the None But You Index only.

NONE BUT YOU > This page is a synopsis of the novel and links you to the NBY Index, which links you to the first page of None But You As of today, June 22, 2023, None But You is available to read, in its entirety, for free. I will put a notice up when it is published and will not longer be available.

FOR YOU ALONE > This page is a synopsis of the novel and links you to the FYA Index page, which links you to the first page of For You Alone As of today, June 22, 2023, For You Alone is not yet available to read online.

A WORD, A LOOK > This page is a synopsis of the novel and links to the AWAL Index, which links to the first chapter of A WORD, A LOOK. As of today, June 22, 2023, A Word A Look is not available to read online.

FOR TRUE FANS is a page with silliness and out-of-the-norm writing of mine. I will be adding to it over time. Some of it is funny and some is dark. I do not write anything sexually explicit, but I also do not write work that is all sunshine and daisies. The are explanations on each post so you can decide for yourself.

Housekeeping around here

I made a big deal about moving things to Substack. It’s the wave of the future and if we don’t get on that train NOW it will move on without us. I bought the hype and moved so I could build a mailing list. I thought for a while that having paid supporters would be a viable business plan. But I can’t provide extra content to justify asking for monthly support so a mailing list would have to be enough. Then Substack got confused and thought I was only a subscriber and not the creator and wouldn’t let me into the inner sanctum. I threw up my hands and came back here to Word Press. Before I could do anything, I would have try a tenth time to understand how they had changed the site builder. After many tears and much swearing–to myself as I have kids in the house–I figured out enough to rebuild.

A lot of the spacing is wild on each page but I will eventually figure out the ‘padding’ around the ‘blocks.’ I will figure this out. I shall.

Anyway, I am pinning a ‘Quick and Dirty’ post to the top of the home page that will have a set of links for the stories and pertinent pages for each novel. I know that’s what most readers come for so I will oblige.
